2019 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Season Preview

Starter
Offense
A disappointing finish to a season that saw the Bucs go to 13-3, a game behind the division champs and now Super Bowl champions, Atlanta Falcons. But some reloading and retooling in the offseason and draft has Tampa looking to come back even stronger, with the addition of Chris Conley to give the Bucs a true #2 receiver and moving Westbrook down into the slot. Martin, Sankey and Cobb are going to have to be able to run the ball efficiently until the two young studs of Guice and Lockhart can return to action to keep Winston upright.

Defense
Not too many knew faces on the defensive side of the ball this season, but there are some noticeable changes definitively. Noah Spence has earned himself the starting spot opposite of Derek Barnett to put some pressure on opposing QBs while the interior D-line remains intact. In the secondary, Rashad Davie has taken Bradley McDougald's job away from him and Marquez White is looking to establish himself as a lockdown corner opposite of Vernon Hargreaves III, with Gaines being reduced to a nickel corner. Steven Parker is the starting SS and the linebacking corps has not lost anybody. This unit remains hungry to shut down Atlanta within the division.

Conclusion
The team looks stronger and better on paper, so long as everyone stays healthy and constantly plays at their peak. The question here isn't whether or not the Buccaneers are ready for the challenge. They're looking to at least go 13-3 again and take the division. Fans are not asking about the quality of the new additions and starters to this team, but the big question on the city of Tampa Bay is, will it be enough?
