So I use to do this back in the day and Mike has got me excited to try it out again. I'm not sure of the format and how ofton the updates will be. But I'll just post some stuff and let it play out. A little background I had a hawks mygm that I decided to delete after a loaded the wrong draft class. I also had lost Horford as FA year 1 when I didn't know what I was doing. I had made a move for SG Kris Middleton so that's why I made the trade for him as to kinda bridge the gap between the old and new one.

Difficulty - Pro (2nd easiest of the 4 options)
Quarters - 12 min
Sliders - Untouched
How I play the games - I will usually simcast the game and jump in in 2nd half. I also play all the playoff games.

-------------------------

Bucs Get
PG Jeff Teague - 78 overall - 2.5* Trade Value
C Tiago Splitter - 73 ovr - 1.5* Trade Value
Lamar Patterson - 66 ovr - 1* Trade Value
2016 Wizards 2nd round Pick - 1* Trade Value

Hawks Get
SG Khris Middleton - 80 ovr - 3* Trade Value
C Johnny O'Bryant - 66 ovr - 1* Trade Value
Damien Inglis - 67 ovr - 1.5* Trade Valu

Trade Notes
In 2k they have dynamic ratings so that effects your trade value if your on a hot/cold streak. In real life they was big trade rumors for Teague but he was not dealt. Teague is on a very good deal with 2 years left with under 9 million per year. Middleton is on a new huge deal with at least 4 more years then a player option for the 5th year at around 14 million per year. The bucks old starting PG is 6'6 so he can play SG.

ill post history here after season 1

You should post one the bucks are a cool team to use since they have a few stars already in place with parker and Greek freak and a pretty good starting 5 and a very long team. Plus if you win a few rounds in the playoffs or get a top 10 pick either one is sim.

Yeah, that's the HTML code. If I can find out how to just let mods do HTML I will probably allow it. Otherwise, it can create a ton of issues. In the meantime, that's a workaround

Schroder enjoying breakout year

We are now at the all star break and the hawks have been playing really well as of late and are all the way up to the #2 seed. They will not be able to catch the cavs who have a firm grasp of the #1 seed. The seeds 2 to 6 are all within 2 games of each other so its gonna make for a exciting 2nd half of the year. Paul Milsap was the only hawk to make the all star break and Stephen Curry won the 3 point contest (controlled by me). Also of note Al Horford has resigned to a new 3 year deal.

One of the main reasons for the success this year has been the play of the young PG who finally has got the chance to start after the trade of Jeff Teague. He is averaging 14.2 points, 6.7 assist, 4.3 rebounds and 1.8 steals. He is still very young at only 22 years old so the sky seems to be the limit for him.

Game 1 at Home

It was a wild and crazy game and way to many things happening in the final few minutes to even begin to write about. It was a back and forth game all the way but in the late 3rd quarter the Celtics built the lead to 15. The hawks would gradually come back despite star PF Paul Milsap fouling out.

Dennis Schroder hit a corner jump shot to put the hawks up 3 with 2:02 to go. That's when Al Horford made what looked like the play of the game blocking the shot of Isaiah Thomas with 1:18 to go and hawks still up 3. But Schorder got in to big of a hurry trying to ice the game and didn't waste clock and turned the ball over. The teams would swap baskets and the hawks was back up 3 with 1:21 to go. Fast forward a bit and Middleton would hit a clutch shot putting hawks up 2 with just 30 seconds to go. After a basket the game was tied and hawks would be able to hold for 1 final shot for the win. But they would double team Schorder and would go on to have it stole and Celtics hit a fast break layup at the buzzer and beat the hawks by 2.

The team stats for this game are so close its scary
FG 51 for 101 = 51 for 100
3 point % 43 for both
Points in the Paint 50 for both
Fast Break Points 18 for both
Turnovers 10 for both
Def Rebounds 44= 43

Wow! That's insane. That's then most dead even I've seen a game. Should make for a great series!

Hawks Suffer Epic Meltdown in Game 2

The biggest weakness for the hawks this year is the bench and out of no where this game came Mike Muscala the backup center who had a career high 24 points. This was not the back and forth game the 1st one was as Hawks had the lead the whole game and the lead reached double digits in the 2nd half. The lead got up to as much as 5 with 3:30 in the 4th quarter. With under 2 minutes to go Horford was left open for a easy dunk after they doubled Schroder on the pick and roll. That made the lead 3 points with 1:51 to go and Hawks looked to be in good shape just needed to kill clock, not turn it over, make free throws and get 1 stop on defense. But 3 turnovers by the hawks inside the final 1:30 and a wide open 3 pointer by SF Jamison Crowder for the Celtics resulted in a heartbreaking loss. Now the hawks have to pick up the pieces and somehow win at least 1 game of the next 2 at Boston.

* I am wanting to make this more fancy but was really made after the loss

Hawks Make it a Series

This seems like its going to be one of this series where everything doesn't go the way its planned. The first 2 games at home a #2 seed isn't suppose to lose and that's what happened. This was a must win game for the Hawks and it was on the road which is always tough. Unlike the first 2 games this one was never in doubt and the Hawks won easily 130-112.

Al Horford was the player of the game scoring 26 points and had 7 rebounds to go along with 6 assists. Kent Bazemore had a triple double (my first ever in 2k). Starting SG Khris Middleton had 19 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assist. Dennis Schroder had 15 points and 12 assist while Paul Milsap had a pretty quite night

That now puts the Celtics up 2-1 with game 4 also being in Boston. Also the #6 seed Hornets upset the #3 Heat who couldn't overcome the loss of starting Center Hassah Whiteside . So if the Hawks are able to come back in this series they will get a easier 2nd round matchup the
